The 2017-18 school year will mark the fourth full year of the Mississippi Scholars Tech Master program. The program was announced in January of 2014 and began in seven pilot counties and today has grown to more than 60 counties.
Tech Master was patterned after the Mississippi Scholars program, which began in 2003-04 school year. Today, there are now more than 40,000 Mississippi high school graduates who have received the Mississippi Scholars designation, including 5,122 graduates in 2017.

Milestone
The Public Education Forum of Mississippi was recently notified by the Mississippi Department of Education that the Mississippi Student Information System (MSIS) has been updated to capture the Mississippi Scholars and Tech Master data starting the 2017-2018 school year.
