The US Department of State invited a select number of leaders from Mississippi companies to the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in The Hague on June 3-5, 2019.
The list of Mississippi participants includes Gary Butler, chairman and CEO of Camgian; Tim Mask, president of Maris, West and Baker; Bilal Qizilbash, CEO of EasyKale Labs LLC, and Brennen Hodge of CitizenHealth, all of whom are important players in Mississippi’s innovation ecosystem.
“I am excited for the opportunity to participate in GES 2019 and showcase our team’s latest innovations in AI and IoT,” says Butler. “We are honored by the invitation from the State Department to be a part of this prestigious group and represent our country on this important global stage.”
GES is an annual gathering co-sponsored by the U.S. government and the Netherlands. 2,000 global leaders come together to discuss policy, funding, and issues affecting entrepreneurship world-wide. Talks range from the future of cities and energy to advanced manufacturing, women in global business, and access to capital.
The three-day summit begins with an opening reception featuring Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Mayor Pauline Krikke of The Hague and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands on June 3, 2019.
