Mississippi-Based Myra Mirrors On Display at CES 2018

Myra Mirrors LogoOxford, Miss. (January 17, 2018) – Oxford-based Myra Mirrors was on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nev., last week, where they introduce their “Reflective Assistant” to attendees at the world’s largest consumer technology conference.

Myra Mirrors’ unique “Reflective Assistant,” created by co-founders Pontus Anderson, Sam Bertolet, and others from the Myra Mirrors team, is a platform and operating system for smart mirrors that enables the creation of new apps and new viewing experiences beyond already impressive “smart-mirror” functions. Myra Mirrors was selected to participate at Eureka Park – the official “startup village” at CES 2018, along with participants from over 20 other countries at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.

“We’ve been working hard on developing a smart-mirror platform that gives the end user an incredible experience on a surface they use every day. What sets us apart from the other smart mirrors on the market is that our proprietary software opens up that experience on any surface. What that means for the end-user is that now you have an app store for every surface in your life – applications and information are no longer bound to your computer or smartphone screens,” said Pontus Andersson, Myra Mirrors CEO.

“For developers, it means that any application written on our platform is able to be ported seamlessly to any surface using our platform,” Andersson said..“The reception at CES has been great, from retail to hotels, home renovation and Healthcare—it feels like there hasn’t been one industry that hasn’t given us a new use case for Myra. We’re super excited to be bringing back all these experiences and connections to Mississippi and creating new opportunities on brilliant new surfaces.”

For the past 50 years, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES®), which is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), has served as the world’s gathering place for breakthrough business and consumer technologies and next-generation innovations, attracting the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers.

“Having Myra Mirrors chosen for Eureka Park at CES is a great way for the company to show off their amazing technology on a global stage and to make great connections to accelerate their growth,” said Tony Jeff, President and CEO of Innovate Mississippi. “The Myra Mirrors team has been working on their prototypes for a couple of years, and it was obvious from the beginning they were creating a truly break-through technology platform. We look forward to de-briefing them after their CES 2018 experience and seeing if we can help them connect with investors or give other assistance,” Jeff said.
