This October, Venture Atlanta will be a completely virtual conference, which offers Mississippi entrepreneurs and investors not just an opportunity to register and participate in all of their content; startup companies from all over the Southeast are invited to apply to pitch, as well.
Venture Atlanta has two ways that companies can participate—Presenting Companies pitch in person from their stage to an online audience, while Showcase Companies will record their pitch and submit it for on-demand viewing by prospective investors.
Venture Atlanta is specifically looking for technology-enabled companies ranging from communications to consumer and health IT. However, they discourage pharmaceutical, biological and life sciences companies. (See their FAQs here.)
The process for applying for either type of pitch is the same—companies fill out the provided Executive Summary template and submit it before August 28th.
If your application is accepted, Venture Atlanta will put you through a coaching process with dedicated coaches to help you ensure the pitch is memorable. There’s also a “Pitch Off’ in September to help make the final determination of which companies will present on the live stage.
There’s a virtual meet-and-greet to learn more on August 18th. Register here.
